Liesl to Meet the Mayor Tom Hughes

I have been working my little buns off to get ready for World Hypnotsim Day on January 4th. One of my projects has been to request the Mayor of Hillsboro to proclaim it World Hypnotism Day here in our little city. Well Friday morning I got word from his office that he had agreeded. YEAH!
I was very excited. I get to go to the city council meeting this Tuesday with my office partner and accept the proclamation in person. I also just found out that it will broadcast on a local public access station here .. for those close it will be channel 30 at 7pm January 2nd. I am a little nervous as I have never been on TV even if it is just a local cable show. But I am mostly excited. YEAH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

The flood of 2007. We had quite the puddle threatening our shop so I had Michaels friends Cosmo and Luke dig a big hole for the water to go into so it would not flood the shop. Christina was supervising thier work. She is quite the little boss. There was alot of flooding in the local areas. The worst was on the coast were the winds were 125 mph. We got rain and winds of about 70-80 mph. The little town of Vernonia was completely flooded. Many homes were damaged and for a few days there was no way to get in or out of the town as the rivers were flooding the roads washing some out. We were lucky.

Fall comes each year. But usually with dread we rake the leaves because they are to wet to play in. This year brought little rain at this time so the kids got to rake and play and rake again. We even got some help from a one of the boys friends. Liesl

Halloween 2007
Travis was a knight and Jeff made the whole custome for it. Scott was a pirate. Christina was the little mermaid. We went to my mom's house, Oma, first before we went trick or treating. We also went to the ward trunk or treat a couple days before halloween where Christina got her fact painted.Liesl

The Pumpkin patch 2007
We went this year like the 2 days before Halloween but never got the pumpkins carved. They were nice front porch decorations. But was had lots of fun riding the train and even a boat to take out pumpkins back to the beginning. We go to the same pumpkin patch each year. Liesl

The medals around his neck were earned in a tournement that he placed 2nd in the state I think. He has participated in a few different tounements over the last 3 years. He was able to referee in one this fall. That was a great honor.This was last spring in 2007. He is just one belt away from black now. Go Jeff Go

Here are some more pictures from the almost record breaking snow we had last January of 2007. Michael and Jeff decided to build a snow fort. The goal was to sleep in it that night. They choose the church parking lot across the street for thier overnight adventure. Both have gone snow caving with the scouts so they were sure it was going to be just like that. Well they got half way done and were running out snow. And in the end a warm bed just across the street was alot more appealing to them.

We went up to Browns camp to go riding this summer. I have never been there before. The older guys have been there before but not us younger ones or girls. Christina rode on her first motorcycle and dad could not go fast enough for her.

Christina is finally cooperating for the picture. You can't mistake the only girl as she likes to call herself. :o)
